By | August 1, 2017

Strider Hiryu is one of the most iconic ninja names in the gaming industry, this may be an indisputable fact, especially if you’ve tasted Capcom’s concoction game in the past. Born through the popularity of the era of the arcade of old, Hiryu’s action was once re-formulated to the home console platform with a style that is not much different gameplay. The popularity of the blue ninja this one again surfaced and is known by more new generation gamers after the decision of Capcom to make it as one of the mainstay roster in the fightning crossover game – Marvel vs Capcom. But who would have thought, after sinking for a long time, Strider Hiryu finally re-active in the gaming industry through his own game.
This project itself is quite anticipated after the confirmation that has been launched last year. Developed by Double Helix Games – which is also responsible for Killer Instinct’s revival process for Xbox One, the game that is only given the name “Strider” is indeed showing a promising potential. Visual quality capable of representing a stronger platform capability offers a potentially different experience. After a long wait, the opportunity to try out this game directly comes finally.
So what is actually offered by this Strider? Why we call it a game that revives the action of the ninja with the dominance of this blue outfit?

The background of Str Hiryu’s own figure is not the focus of this latest Strider game. In a futuristic world still full of political intrigue and conflict between various interests, Hiryu is one of the members of the professional killer group called “Strider” which was built to carry out espionage, sabotage, and murder missions. Hiryu himself is armed with a plasma sword named Cypher and also a variety of other equipment, including robot tone drone, panther, and eagle that he can call in a fight. Identity that has been attached since the first existence of Strize Hiryu is retained in this 2014 reboot series.
This time the main mission brings Strider Hiryu to a fictitious city that seems to be designed with a very strong atmosphere with aura of Russia – Kazakh City. His mission is simple, to kill the dictator who currently controls the world – Grandmaster Meio. But this trip is certainly not as easy as turning the palm of the hand. In addition to having to deal with a myriad of high-tech military forces that guard Kazakh, Strider Hiryu must also fight the ranks of elite troops prepared by Meio, especially considering the Grandmaster himself has proven to be a threat that can not be underestimated.
Infiltrated into Kazakh city, Hiryu’s mission is to kill the dictator of the world – Grandmaster Meio.

QUICK AND LUGAS
The classic flavor flows through. Strider comes without a defense system like the “guard” button, and rely on speed as the main force.

You can not image a ninja-themed game correctly, if the gameplay you have to run at a slow pace. So like the Strider games in the past, this 2014 Stider also brings the same gameplay sensation – fast and straightforward. Consistently, you’ll find the Hiryu Strider who consistently ran ahead to address any threats.
The fight also goes very straightforward. There is no defense system at all when faced with the attack, everything is solved with the speed of motion of the Strider Hiryu himself. Though countless “tanky” to withstand an existing attack, your only defense mechanism is to run as fast as you can, jump, and find a safe area that can be used to counterattack.
